I agree, you cant change any of the stats in my opinion without a majority vote.

I agree. Changing the stats at this point would take a league vote. However, I am going to miss RBI and Runs category.

I think we should have a vote too. We put a lot of work into our teams already and it wouldn't be fair to change it without a vote.

I'm not currently consider changing these stats anyway. What you're looking at is a fake argument between two GMs who were actually the same person trying to make it look like he was two people.

that's why we have a new padres gm (he tried to take on the braves as a 2nd team and got caught, those posts were intended to have people believe he was 2 separate people arguing with eachother)

I guess in a league this big there are going to be a few bad apples.

Bad idea on his part. I hate it when people do things like that. Good to you caught it before the season and made changes.

"Immediately following the completion of our amateur draft will be a period during which you may roster up to six players from your corresponding Major League club. None of these six players may have completed a year of service time yet, and none may appear on another team's roster."
So this means i can add 6 minor leaguers i didn't add before this season that are in the Giants system?

Alex, I moved your post here so as not to clog up the draft thread.
The answer is yes, you can roster up to 6 players who are not currently on a roster, are under contract with your team, and have less than a year of service time. This can include:
1) players you didn't roster at the beginning of the season 2) players who have been minor league cuts 3) draft picks of your corresponding major league team who were not picked in the pro-gm amateur draft (note: they must have signed, you can't use this method of prospect addition to roster an unsigned draft pick, you must draft them in order to do so)

First of all, totally forgot the previous padres GM argued with himself.
Second, my question refers to discounts and the free agency rule that says you cannot bid more money than you have.
Hypothetically, if a GM has 20 mil in space, can they make a bid for ore than 20 if the discounts will bring it under? Ie the WS champ makes an offer to their own player of 4 years 30, I believe it would be a discount of 35%. This would put the actual price under 20 mil. Would this be considered a legal bid?

I have a question. Once a player crosses the minimum requirements to be a cost controlled player, year 2, can they be bid on in fa immediately? Example, player X gets his 130th plate appearance and isn't rostered and hasn't been selected in the current draft. Can he be entered into free agency?

No. A year of service is defined as a completed year. He can't be bid on until this offseason - but he can be drafted.
