SP Hisashi Iwakuma 2.0 Mil (6th Year)
-- The Arizona Diamondbacks agree to trade:
2B Martin Prado 8.5 million (2016-2018)
1B Ryan Rua 0.5 million (2nd year)
SP Cody Reed 0.4 million (minors , ARZ)
2017 ARI 6th Round Draft Pick and an 8th Round Draft Pick.
I accept, my first trade here and I think this shows the direction I am taking the Phillies. I am acquiring some really solid high upside players in Rua and Reed and gaining a draft pick also. Prado was thrown in as a cap drop but I still think he holds some value and could possibly flip him later on. Good dealing and good luck Arizona.

Potential problem, I just traded Arizona's 2017 5th to Mariners. I will do some. Research as to how I got the pick.

Betz, since you've indicated to me that your goal early on is to acquire top specs, can you please confirm that you're aware that the Cody Reed you're acquiring is the one from Arizona's system, not the top prospect from Cincinnati's system? Just want to be sure you knew what you were getting since there are 2 pitching prospects named Cody Reed out there |

Fixed. Changed 5th rounder to 6th and 8th.
