This trade will need to wait until both picks are made, as it is invalid in this format. 2018 picks can't be traded like this now that the deadline has passed. Players must be drafted first and then traded. Sorry, doing it this way just creates much more work for the commissioners and much more opportunity for mistakes to be made by everyone involved - we tried it one year and it was a disaster.
It's totally fine for NYY to announce ARI's pick for them at 41 (like Dan did), and for ARI to announce NYY's pick at 58. Once those picks are both made this trade can be re-posted. But in its current form this trade is cancelled. Please post a new thread when the time comes rather than re-using this thread. Thanks!

Understood, and thanks for the clarification, Ben. I spoke with one of the co-LMs last night shortly after I posted this trade and suspected that this might be the case. Chalk it up to 2nd-time-through rookie mistake?!?  |
