I'm slightly concerned that the addition of OPS will overvalue high SLG, low OBP hitters (since we already have XBH and HR), but I'm okay with the change. I'd also love one day to switch out SVs and QS for other stats (the idea being that every inning is worth exactly the same), and just keep a very high IP min, but I realize that's not happening anytime soon.

I love the WHIP stat for pitchers. At least more than BB of BB/9.... it values baserunners as a whole.

I do tend to agree with Jesse that the addition of Ops does increase the value of low obp high slg guys

Alright, well it sounds like most people are in favor of the change, with the few people who aren't completely in agreement at least being fine with it. Given the positive support, we are changing the stats for 2012, though the discussion may continue. These are the official stats moving forward:
AVG, BB, XBH, HR, SB, OPS ERA, IP, K, BB/9, QS, SV
If Yahoo doesn't allow us to use BB/9 (I'm fairly certain that they do but I don't think I can check until fantasy baseball season) then we will just use BB.

Not sure if this is right place but is there a way to have min ABs like we do IP. Just seems too many teams have dls with guys on bench they could put in. perhaps losing stats if they dont meet min would help teams be more active.
just my 2 cents....
