What's this?

Every year I create a separate playoff league on Yahoo. Past years in which we used Fantrax instead were due to missing the Yahoo registration deadline. Since I have to register the league now in order to make the playoffs happen, I figured, let's do something fun with it rather than just let it sit there all year. Also, since we need to generate seeding for the playoff teams, which means we need rosters, let's actually put some effort into those rosters.
So I decided to make each team an "All Star Team" for each of the six divisions. They'll play out the season against each other, head-to-head, until mid-September. In mid-September I'll simply clear the rosters and input the playoff rosters for the four remaining playoff teams (ALCS and NLCS). But we'll also have All-Star results and be able to see which division finished first through sixth.
There are twelve polls: two for each division, one for hitters and one for pitchers. You get to vote for twelve hitters and twelve pitchers, using the same positions we use in Pro-GM, plus a few extra spots for the bench. When voting for players on the bench, it's up to you whether to just choose the best players or whether to take positional eligibility into account.
For hitters: please vote for one player for each of the eight positions, plus four additional hitters from any position for DH and bench.
For pitchers: please vote for 5 SP, 5 RP, and 2 additional pitchers, SP or RP, for P and bench.
There's no DL spot, but if you think an injured player deserves consideration, go ahead and vote for him. The bench can cover for him until he returns.
I will not be including every player from the division. I'll try to narrow it down to roughly 30-40 of the best options. I'll leave one "other" slot in case I missed anyone, which you can use by leaving a comment. Obviously not everybody will be voting for the same "other" option. If you want to vote for more than one "other," just post multiple names, but you can still only select it once.
When voting, rather than try to reward past performance or this year's performance, treat it as though you're drafting a team for the rest of this season and you want to make that team as strong as possible.
Players play for whatever division they were in on May 1. Redshirts are ineligible. Voting closes May 15. If a player is traded from their division, they will still remain on their original division's All Star team, although I may make trades at the trade deadline. I'll decide later.
This process takes some time, so please be patient while I get each division posted.
Remember, this is informal and just for fun.
