A recent situation revealed months after the draft that a player had been drafted in the 2011 draft who was already on a roster. Because this situation may occur again in the future, we feel a rule should be set to determine how that draft pick gets replaced on that GM's roster. In that situation, the GM who made the errant selection will have his choice of the following options:
1) The GM may Autopick the highest available draft pick from that year's draft.
2) The GM may receive a compensatory pick in the following year's draft immediately following the round in which the errant pick occurred.
3) The GM may select one additional prospect from his own team's minor league system who is not currently on a roster (post-draft addition rules apply to this option)
