I know not everybody celebrates Christmas (personally, I stick to Festivus), but I think chances are enough people do that it'd be worthwhile to have a free agency hiatus for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so those folks can spend time with family and friends without being distracted by fantasy baseball. So, starting at noon (12:00 pm) EST on 12/24 and going through noon (12:00 pm) EST on 12/26, free agency will be on hold. This time will simply be skipped over. Any bids made on the evening of 12/23 will expire on the evening of 12/26. Any bids made on the morning of 12/24 will expire on the morning of 12/27.
Of course, if you're somebody who wants to stay away from your family during that time and are desperate for any distraction, you may still bid during the hiatus. Any bids made during that time will just be considered to have been made at noon on 12/26, thus expiring at noon on 12/27.
There will be a similar, but possibly different length, hiatus for New Years.

Free agency bidding is suspended for Christmas. You may continue to bid, but bids will not be won after 24 hours. Rather, any bids made during the suspended bidding period will be won 24 hours after regular bidding resumes. Regular bidding resumes 12/26 at 12:00 pm EST, so bids made between 12/24 at 12:00 pm EST and 12/26 at 12:00 pm EST will be won on 12/27 at 12:00 pm EST.
Bids made before 12/24 at 12:00 pm EST will not be won during the hiatus. They will be won 72 hours after they were made (24 hours plus the 48 hour hiatus) if not topped during the hiatus.
To clarify, a bid made in the PM hours of 12/23 will be won in the PM hours of 12/26 at the same time it was made, assuming it's not beaten. A bid made in the AM hours of 12/24 will be won in the AM hours of 12/27 at the same time it was made, assuming it's not beaten. A bid made during the hiatus will be won at noon on 12/27, assuming it's not beaten.

The Christmas Hiatus is over, hope everybody had a wonderful holiday.
The 24 hour free agency clock is activated once again. If you are unsure about the time that a free agent comes off the board, PM me.
There will be a shorter (24 hour) hiatus for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, beginning at 12:00 PM EST on 12/31 and ending at 12:00 PM EST on 1/1. That will be the only other planned hiatus for this free agency period.
