Do you guys have a hard time trying to strike a balance between selling the farm for All Stars and hoarding prospects?

absolutely, i never can decide whether to deal my good prospects for major league players or to keep the prospects and build only for the future

I have no such problem. Evident by my trades. I want sure things, guys who've already put up numbers and aren't just supposed to be good.

I tend to build for the future in most of my leagues. Otherwise, I find that contracts get bloated and soon I've got a mess on my hands. I'd rather build a winning team that can compete for five years, than one that has to have a firesale after two or three.

of course - but i try to find balance in it. I'll pick a few guys that I say I wont get rid of and a few that their only purpose will be trade bait. That way I don't get to attached to them. This usually helps find a balance between both - of course it helps when you see the name you traded not do much but backfires if they do great but you just live with it.

I balance it out for the most part, mostly favor majors and try to win asap.
