Figured I'd give a quick Chatango tutorial and try to put together a list of current GMs with their Chatango screen names. Some of you still aren't sure how to use Chatango or the Private Chat feature, so this is for all of you as well as for new GMs joining the league.

Chatango is the league's chat box. It's located at the bottom of every page of the forum. If you can't see it, you're probably either on a mobile device, your internet is loading slowly, or you're on a browser that doesn't support it. Try going to pro-gm.chatango.com, the full page (as opposed to embedded) version of the league's chat room; that usually works for me from my phone or when my connection is having trouble.

To create an account, simply type something into the "send" box and hit enter, or click on the "set your name" button on the bottom right. You will then have the option to post anonymously, with a temporary name, or to create an account. Create an account, using whatever name you want. Now you can talk to us in real time! Congratulations.

Private Chat is one of the best functions of Chatango, because it allows you to negotiate trades quickly in real time. To talk to somebody in Private Chat (PC), click on their name in the main Chatango Box. So, if I wanted to PC with Brian, I would click his name, lomo45, somewhere in the chat box. Alternatively, I could just go to lomo45.chatango.com and click "chat with Lomo45." Once I chat with him, I can add him as a friend. This allows me to see when Brian is online anytime I go to my own Chatango page, which is tradinggameben.chatango.com (tradinggameben being my screen name). So now that I have a pretty comprehensive friend list, anytime I want to chat with somebody I just go to tradinggameben.chatango.com, click on the name of the person I want to chat with on my friends list, and voila!

Also, notice that once you've signed into Chatango, when you go to the chat box on the bottom of any forum page, you'll see a little blue speech bubble with the number 0 in it. Or maybe you don't see that, instead you might see a yellow speech bubble with a 1 or some other number in it! This means you have a private chat message from somebody! Ohboyohboyohboy! Click on the yellow speech bubble and it will take you to your Chatango page and display the message. Or just go to your chatango page and check the message there by typing it in your url; again, mine's tradinggameben.chatango.com, Brian's is lomo45.chatango.com, yours is whateveryourscreennameis.chatango.com, etc. Alternatively, you might see a black x instead of a speech bubble. This means you're not signed in.
