Congratulations to the Giants and Blue Jays, your 2015 League Champions!

This year, the World Series will take place within the National League. The Blue Jays' have replaced one of the other NL teams, and scoring will be done using this link: baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/111230/matchup?week=25&mid1=5&mid2=15

If the Blue Jays and Giants had played every week of the season up to this point, the Blue Jays would have won the majority of the match-ups with 13. The Giants would have won 6, while there would have been a whopping 5 ties (including last week in the LCS). As such, the Blue Jays have the tiebreaker should the teams finish the World Series tied - both would earn the World Series discount in Free Agency, but the Blue Jays would be declared Champions.

My idea for doing the World Series in the National League seems not to have worked. Bummer. Stats aren't being kept for week 25.

Going into the final day, the Blue Jays have the lead, but there are some close categories up for grabs:

What to watch on the final day

While I haven't been able to make Fantrax publicly viewable, you can view each team's stats on the NL Yahoo site:

Giants: baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/111230/5/
Blue Jays: baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/111230/15/

HR: Keep an eye on HRs. If either team out HRs the other, they win that category.

SB: If the Giants can get one or more SBs, they can tie or win that category assuming the Blue Jays steal fewer

XBH: The Giants need to accrue two more XBH than the Blue Jays today to tie that category.

QS: This is the one category in which the Blue Jays are close enough behind to catch the Giants, and they can strengthen their advantage if they get one more than the Giants get today. The Blue Jays have deGrom (vs WAS) and Lackey (@atl) while the Giants have Cueto (@min) and Hamels (vs LAA)

Sv: The Giants are one behind, so a save from Trevor Rosenthal would go a long way toward keeping them in it.

Should be a fun day! Keep an eye on the Yahoo teams - they will display the day's stats.
