Hi All,
Please post your 2023 rosters in this thread. I'd like to follow the same standardized roster structure this year, so please follow the guideline below and see my clubhouse roster if you need a more realistic example:
Major League Roster:
Position Name Salary Years (ex. 1B George Washington 2.0 million (4th year))
Position Name Salary Years (ex. OF Thomas Jefferson 4.5 million (2021-22))
.
.
.
...# of Players, Salary used (ex. 25 players, 75.0 million)
Minor League Roster:
Position Name Salary Years (ex. SS Gerald Ford 0.5 million (minors))
Position Name Salary Years
.
.
.
...# of Players, Salary used (ex. 30 players, 15.0 million)
Other Cap Considerations:
Name Salary Years - Reason (ex. Richard Nixon 10.0 million (2021) - Buyout)
Name Salary Years - Reason (ex. Andrew Jackson 5.0 million (2021-23) - Salary Coverage )
Total: # of Players, Salary Used (ex. 55 Players, 105.0 million)
Salary Cap: 160 million
Available: Salary Available (ex. 50.0 million)
Some reminders on how to create your roster:
Minor leaguers should be called up if they gained a year of service in 2022. Failure to call up your minor leaguers will result in them being eligible for selection in the rule 5 draft.
Make sure your roster is complete. Do not forget to include your draft picks and post-draft additions. Please be thorough about this, it seems to happen every year that somebody forgets and we have to do some digging when someone asks if that player is draft eligible the next year.
The salary cap for 2023 is $160 million and the roster limit remains at 80 players for 2023. If you are over either of these limits, you must fix it before posting your 2023 roster. You may do any of the following to fix it:
1. Cut Minor Leaguers (clears a roster spot AND their salary)
2. Non-Tender Cost Control Players (clears a roster spot AND their salary)
3. Buy Out Veteran Contracts (clears a roster spot BUT you are responsible for their salary)
New for 2022, please drop all of your pending free agents (including non-tenders, minor league cuts, and bought out veterans) from your roster on Fantrax (2023 Fantrax league can be found here: www.fantrax.com/fantasy/league/svbodmrxl9cu6dtl/home ). This will help us to create a comprehensive Free Agent List
