I'm just wondering which of your own picks you are the most pleased with, and which of everyone else's picks you're most impressed with. Not a competition but I think that all of the work people put into the draft over the month that it went on deserves acknowledgement.
List a few picks you're impressed with, as well as your favorite and why of your own picks.

Some of the first that come to mind for me are:
8. San Francisco Giants (from Chicago Cubs)- Carlos Martinez, RHP St. Louis Cardinals 63. Cincinatti Reds (for Scott Rolen - 79.121)- Joe Wieland, RHP San Diego Padres 73. San Diego Padres (for Miguel Tejada - 76.720)- Oscar Taveras, OF, St. Louis Cardinals
I particularly like the players who were taken from the non-draft prospect pool, can you tell?
And of my picks:
74. Tampa Bay Rays (for Jason Bartlett - 77.019)- James Paxton, LHP, Seattle Mariners - I wanted Wieland here but when he was taken (and I found out later that had the Reds not taken him, the Padres would have taken him before he got to me anyway) I went to my backup plan, Paxton, who I realized I like nearly as much; probably not as sure a bet as Wieland but I think a higher ceiling.

Some of the best value picks in my opinion were:
150. Kansas City Royals- Edwar Cabrera, LHP Colorado Rockies 190. Oakland Athletics- Oscar Hernandez, C Tampa Bay Rays
and in addition to those I have to give credit to the Twins GM for landing at least 3 elite International Free Agent bats before anyone else even took an IFA. Those guys were tremendously talented and commanded some of the highest bonuses ever given to IFAs so for Twins to get as many of them as he did was a great way to get value from a source that no one else was taking from yet.
As for my favorite picks that I made(which I'm choosing based in terms of value and draft position): 13. Leonys Martin 147. Cody Buckel

I really liked the Paxton and Tavares picks by the Rays and Padres. I also liked Josh Bell at #13.
My favorite pick of my own had to be Carlos Marinez, he and Panik were really the only picks i was happy and even Panik was a reach. It seemed the guy i was targeting kept going 5 or so picks ahead of mine then i had to quickly find another prospect in a hurry and usually was a bit disappointed.
Taveres was i wanted most at #78 and Paxton would have been my 2nd choice since both were gone i panicked and picked Westlake completely overlooking Tim Wheeler who i would have rather had.
Guess it should prepare me better for next year

The picks i liked the most
8. San Francisco Giants (from Chicago Cubs)- Carlos Martinez, RHP St. Louis Cardinals 190. Oakland Athletics- Oscar Hernandez, C Tampa Bay Rays
Martinez was a great pick by Sf and i know a couple of guys had eyes for Hernandez.
My favorite picks of my own were 103. San Diego Padres (from Toronto Blue Jays)- Rymer Liriano, OF San Diego Padres 89. San Diego Padres (from Baltimore Orioles)- Dillon Maples, RHP Chicago Cubs 209. San Diego Padres (from Baltimore Orioles)- Eduardo Sanchez, RHP St. Louis Cardinals
While i am really happy with those picks, I'm still furious at myself for
19. San Diego Padres (from St. Louis Cardinals)- Brian Goodwin, OF Washington Nationals
I made my first of two consecutive picks and was so excited to keep the draft going i had convinced myself that Mahtook was already gone and panicked.

It killed me when the Rockies took Tyler Collins with pick#222. Watched the kid play all summer long for the local team, the Connecticut Tigers in the NYPL. Jr college player, late round MLBB pick and he put up great numbers. I was happy to pick up his teammate Dean Green in the post draft selections.

People stole some of my guys... Brickhouse, Starling, Leonard, Elier Hernandez.
I was really disappointed in the value of the 2nd round picks. I made some trades where I tossed in some late picks to get some earlier ones and it didn't benefit me at all because of all the compensation picks. And of course I didn't get any comp picks bc my MLB team in RL sucks. So... yeah.
I really liked being able to pick up Guillermo A. Moscoso. I mean, the guy threw 121 quality MLB innings this season. How often do you get that at 201? I don't really care if he's 27 or not, he'll give me some good innings next year.
I had a hard time picking guys that weren't close to the bigs... but I did anyway. I almost picked Rymer a few times but passed.
