Proposed changes to Trades
With the issues arising year after year of multiple draft pick trades, I would like to introduce an update the the trade system. Currently we allow trades and generally they are checked but not audited until around now as we get ready for the draft. We have our 24 hour wait and then process on fantrax. We pretty much work on the concept the GM's keep record of their picks and for the most part it has run ok. But in reality if one pick gets traded twice it could cause a ripple effect and I want to try and put that to rest. What I propose is a system where we have our draft spreadsheet ready to go in advance and we process trdes in real time. It would involve someone checking and signing off on a trade within that 24 hour window to make sure the picks are valid to be traded. I would undertake this for the most part, but could use some help from time to time. Benefits to this would be that we wont have to worry if someone traded a pick twice as we would catch it right away. Also, we wouldnt have to spend time getting the picks in order pre draft every year. And if a team asked if they still have a pick, it can be checked.
Also open to other ideas, suggestions, edits, anything.
