My favorite part of public leagues was always the draft, but now with the option to do a mock draft pretty much any time of the day, there's no reason to do more than one public league per year (and the past few years I haven't even done that). The problem with mock drafts is that there's no reward for doing well. You get your results emailed to you and that's it. So, I thought I'd create this thread so that, if you're like me, you can do as many mock drafts as you want and post them here and we can rate each other's teams. Mock drafts are available HERE.

Well, my account was locked because I haven't logged in since the regular season ended, haha. Hopefully will get around to this soon.

Pick 9, 12 teams, standard Yahoo stats, 2 UTIL, 2 SP, 2 RP, 4 P, 5 bench:
C: Wilin Rosario 1B: Eric Hosmer 2B: Ian Kinsler 3B: Adrian Beltre SS: Ian Desmond OF: Giancarlo Stanton OF: Adam Jones OF: B.J. Upton UTIL: Norichika Aoki UTIL: Dexter Fowler
SP: Kris Medlen SP: Jeff Samardzija RP: Joe Nathan RP: Glen Perkins P: Matt Garza P: Marco Estrada P: Andy Pettitte P: Ernesto Frieri
Bench: Hisashi Iwakuma - SP, RP Dustin Ackley - 1B, 2B Daniel Straily - SP Jarrod Saltalamacchia - C Drew Storen - RP
Things I like: Power, guys with power who can steal, high K/BB ratios
Things I don't like: AVG, taking pitchers before the 10th round (making an exception in the 7th for Medlen)

Pick 7, 12 teams head to head, standard Yahoo stats:
C: Carlos Santana (rd 6) 1B: Joey Votto (rd 1) 2B: Kyle Seager (rd 13) 3B: Evan Longoria (rd 2) SS: Ian Desmond (rd 7) OF: Bryce Harper (rd 3) OF: Matt Holliday (rd 4) OF: Alex Gordon (rd 8) UT: Paul Goldschmidt (rd 5) UT: Anthony Rizzo (rd 9)
SP: Ian Kennedy (rd 10) SP: Josh Johnson (rd 11) RP: Steve Cishek (rd 17) RP: Trevor Rosenthal (rd 21) P: Matt Harvey (rd 12) P: Jon Niese (rd 14) P: Homer Bailey (rd 15) P: Jaime Garcia (rd 16)
BN: Mike Fiers (rd 18) BN: Tommy Hanson (rd 19) BN: Dan Straily (rd 20) BN: Andrew Cashner (rd 22) BN: Dylan Bundy (rd 23)
Things I like: power, fairly young team, love the OF, good pitching depth should be easy to stream and have plenty of Ks (considering my first pitcher was 10th round I'm very happy with the staff) Things I don't like: punted SBs and SVs, no bench hitting.

I dont think that pitching will fare well in matchups vs other teams what u think ben? I'll win Ks almost every week and I'll win Wins most weeks. I think it has a reasonable shot at putting up good ERAs and WHIPs.

Pick 12, 12 teams head to head, standard yahoo categories:
C: Carlos Santana (rd 7) 1B: Prince Fielder (rd 1) 2B: Ben Zobrist (rd 6) SS: Starlin Castro (rd 4) 3B: Brett Lawrie (rd 5) OF: Bryce Harper (rd 3) OF: Alex Rios (rd 9) OF: Shane Victorino (rd 10) Util: Nick Markakis (rd 15) Util: Torii Hunter (rd 16)
SP: Justin Verlander (rd 2) SP: Matt Moore (rd 8) RP: Rafael Soriano (rd 12) RP: Greg Holland (rd 14) P: Hiroki Kuroda (rd 11) P: Brett Anderson (rd 13) P: Ryan Dempster (rd 18) P: Edwin Jackson (rd 19)
BN Josh Reddick (rd 17) BN Wil Myers (rd 20) BN Trevor Bauer (rd 21) BN Dylan Bundy (rd 22) BN Shelby Miller (rd 23)
Things I like: Myers has C eligibility off the bench, Bundy and Miller have RP eligibility so I can punt saves and use them to win the other pitching categories. Young team, good speed and average, will score runs.
Things I don't like: Not a ton of power and rbi production, went too OF heavy (they were the best value available for the Util and BN spots)

Finally had time to get around to one of these, and to be honest, I'm pretty pleased for my first one of the year.
Yahoo, 12 team Rotisserie, picking 9th.
C: Jon Lucroy (Round 15) 1B: Prince Fielder (Round 1) 2B: Jason Kipnis (Round 5) SS: Ian Desmond (Round 6) 3B: David Freese (Round 9) OF: Giancarlo Stanton (Round 2) OF: Adam Jones (Round 3) OF: Bryce Harper (Round 4) UT: Martin Prado (Round 10) UT: Kyle Seager (Round 16)
SP Kris Medlen (Round 7) SP: Max Scherzer (Round 8) RP: Joe Nathan (Round 11) RP: Addison Reed (Round 14) P: Matt Harvey (Round 12) P: Jarrod Parker (Round 13) P: Brandon McCarthy (Round 18) P: Edwin Jackson (Round 19)
Bench: BN: A.J. Pierzynski (Round 17) BN: Manny Machado (Round 20) BN: Shelby Miller (Round 21) BN: Bruce Rondon (Round 22) BN: Trevor Bauer (Round 23)
What I like: Guys with power/speed (Kipnis, Desmond, Jones, Harper, Seager all could go 20/20), Raw power (Fielder, Stanton, Jones all hit 30 PLUS all the previous guys), good power arms in the SP/RP staff.
What I don't like: Didn't get that one true SPEED guy, lots of 2nd year guys in the pitching staff who have to prove they can build off of year 1 (Reed, Harvey, Parker) and rookies (Miller, Rondon, Bauer)
