just realised that i still have the winning bid for Denorfia.
"Once the bidding on a player reaches $2 million per year, subsequent bids must be at least $0.5 million per year higher unless they increase the length of the contract"

Phillies have the leading bid on Denorfia. Technically, they have had the leading bid for over 24 hours. However, for most of that time the Pirates believed they had the winning bid because the error was not caught, and because this concerned a new GM, we will allow additional time for that GM to bid, subtracting the time that has already passed with the Phillies clearly in the lead.
3.5 hours passed between the Phillies' bid and the Pirates' invalid bid. Since the time when the Phillies pointed out their leading bid, another 4 hours and twenty minutes have passed, making just under eight hours. 16 more hours will therefore be allowed for the Pirates to make a bid. The bidding on Denorfia will therefore end at 7:54 am ET on Monday, May 27, unless the Pirates bid 2.5 million or higher, in which case the 24 hour clock will be reset.
ONLY the Phillies and Pirates may bid on Denorfia, as all other GMs have clearly elected not to bid, having allowed 24 hours to pass with the Pirates in the apparent lead.
Phillies have the leading bid of 2.0 million. The next Pirates bid must be 2.5 million or higher, and must occur before 7:54 am ET, or the Phillies will win the bidding.
