Congratulations to anyone whose favorite team is in the playoffs. To the rest of you - who will you be rooting for to keep things interesting? Also, who do you predict will win (discuss)?

A's, Pirates, Rays (in that order). I'd like to see Beane finally get that ring.
After that, I guess it would be Tigers fourth, Dodgers fifth, and Braves sixth, and honestly I'd be happy to see any of them win. I'll be heavily rooting against both the Cardinals and Red Sox.

I predict that it'll be the Tigers over the Dodgers this year. Pitching wins in the playoffs, and I see Verlander, Scherzer, Sanchez, Fister and Kershaw, Greinke, Ryu, Nolasco as the superior pitching rotations in each league.
That being said, I'm rooting for the same teams as Ben in the same order A's (let's go Donaldson!!!!), Pirates, and Rays (technically I am a Rays fan in the AL but after the season he just had for me I have to root for Josh Donaldson to get a world series mvp)

It has to be Oakland since that's where I am. Going to the game Friday. Can't wait.
Then Pirates and after that, really don't care as long as its not the Braves.

Tigers. I'm unabashedly a Tiger slappy, but that rotation should match up with anyone. Assuming Cabrera's not the shell of himself that he appeared in September, they've got as good a chance as anyone.
After that, I'd be fine with anyone from the NL, though I'd love a rematch with the Cardinals.

Anyone but the dodgers. I'm rooting for Pittsburgh though the most. Just hope to see some new teams advance

Tucker and Alex - even though you're both Giants fans, I get the sense that you'd both be happy to see the A's win (since both of you have voted and so far all 6 voters have voted for the A's). Do you think that's a common theme in the Bay Area? Are most people there at least somewhat supportive of both teams? (I'm asking as one of those rare Mets fans who also support the Yankees.)

It can go both ways. A lot of Giants fans hate the A's but I don't mind them. A lot of my good friends are A's fans so I end up following them unintentionally, also unlike Raider fans I've always had good experiences with A's fans at games so I guess I have no reason to root against them. That being said, there is definitely a rivalry when they do play each other and I hate losing to them lol
