I believe the $2.1M bid is invalid:
Once the bidding on a player reaches $2 million per year, subsequent bids must be at least $0.5 million per year higher unless they increase the length of the contract

Orioles had led the bidding on Kintzler for 19 hours, 40 minutes prior to the Athletics' invalid bid. 4 hours and 20 minutes are still needed for the bidding to end. The error was pointed out at 6:46 pm ET, so the 4 hours 20 minutes begin at that time. Kintzler will be won by the Orioles at 11:06 pm ET should no other bid be entered. However, because the bidding would have expired and only the A's made an effort to bid within the 24 hours, I am limiting the bidding to those two teams. Only the A's and Orioles may now bid on Kintzler.
Orioles have the leading bid of $2 million.
