With the completion of the Amateur Draft, Post-Draft Additions may now begin. They may continue until one week after the conclusion of our World Series, after which they will be closed.
During Post-Draft Additions, teams have the opportunity to roster up to 4 prospects from their own system who do not appear on any team's official roster. This is down from 6 in previous years due to the extension of the draft to 8 rounds.
Post-draft addition players must meet the following criteria:
1) The player must have been draft eligible this year. In other words:
- The player had not earned a full year of service time prior to the 2014 season
- If the player was an international free agent during this calendar year, he was under age 24 on January 1
2) The player must be under contract with your associated mlb team and must have been under contract prior to the start of our amateur draft (i.e. you can't take players from other team's systems and you can't take a player who didn't sign a contract with your team, or who signed more recently than the start of the draft). Drafted players who did not sign are ineligible for post-draft additions.
Teams may only add players if they are under the roster limit and cap exception. No team may exceed 75 players on their roster or $118.2 million in salary.
The format for post-draft additions should be as follows:
Team A adds
1. George Washington, OF
2. John Adams, P
3. Thomas Jefferson, 1B
4. James Madison, SS/2B
Please include positions, it really is a pain for us to look them up.
Also, please make only 1 post per team. Once you post your additions, they are final so please do not edit them (it gets too chaotic to follow when people post a list and then post changes so only post when you're sure of who you want). If at some point you do wish to change your selections, PM a commissioner and we will most likely consider it.
If you discover a player you or someone else has added is actually on another team's roster already, please send a pm notifying me and I will take care of the issue with the GM in question.
If you have any questions, as always, please don't hesitate to contact one of the commissioners.
