I have been talking to Tucker and we were thinking of maybe trying to have a get together. I know we all live across the country and some married with kids. The idea is some kind of middle ground or somewhere easy we could get too. Some of us have known each other now for 3-4 years and I think it might be fun. So I figured I would put this out there to see if we had any interest. Feel free to throw out some ideas. Vegas is always fun but I am open to going somewhere I've never been. Let's do this!

Target field is a great stadium too, and we have a nice handful of Minnesotans here. More of a schlep for the rest of you than Chicago or the east coast would be though.

Wrigley would be awesome. I'm open to Pittsburgh too, we could have multiple meet ups, for those who can only go so far. I did plan on seeing a ballgame in Pittsburgh this summer, not sure how far you are brian.

Guys, let's be honest here, Wrigley is a dump (spoken as a true White Sox fan AKA the haters of the City ). And I agree with Ben, Target field is pretty sweet (Mad improvement from the dome - the worst place I have ever watched a baseball game with Tropicana coming in close second). Living in Chicago, I'd definitely meet up for a game at U.S. Cellular (Or Wrigley :/). And the Wife and I take a couple trips to Minnesota a year to visit friends so I'd likely be in for Target Field as well.

Based on what's been suggested so far, I think my order of preference is:
1) Pittsburgh (only a 6.5 hour drive from Long Island so would be much cheaper than flying) 2) Chicago 3) Minnesota

September Chris, haha.
I do plan on going to Pittsburgh for a game sometime this summer. Possibly June. I may try to fit in a couple games. Most likely during the week a Thursday and Friday.
Would love to see target field too. So I'm up for that. I bet Phillies tickets will be easy to get this year...

I probably won't be able to travel much this summer, but if y'all do end up going to Wrigley (as opposed to the CELL - aka JAIL) I'd be happy to give out a few highlights of the neighborhood. Doubt it's changed that much in the years since I've been gone.

I had to get a South Side jab in, Coop - lol. I actually saw a game in old Comiskey (I'm not ancient, I was 10, and 'Bull' Luzinski was one of my childhood faves) and attended a couple of games at US Cellular from 98-02 - the area just doesn't have the charm that Wrigleyville does (IMO). Nothing wrong with the South Side in general, though (I actually went to school at IIT, right across from the Cell).

Same boat for me, I could be at Comerica in under an hour. But I'm game for most things midwestern or east coast. Flying to SD would be fun, but probably not feasible.. lol
