I love this time of year.. Buying and selling.. Who goes where.. Where the fantasy impact is.. Fun to prognosticate about the future. What trades, especially minor ones, do you like?
Shane Victorino for Josh Rutledge looks like a fun one to analyze..

I was pretty upset when I heard the Mets were going to be trading for Tyler Clippard, but I was expecting Beane to ask for a higher return. Casey Meisner? I'm over it.

Casey Meisner is a pretty solid return for Clippard I would say, relievers of the non aroldis kimbrel mold normally don't fetch much

I think Meisner is a potential steal for a half-season (20-30) innings of Clippard.

Me too. Something tells me the Jays aren't done. Rumor around Cleveland is they are going after Carlos carrasco but the Indians pulled back.

I'm a big fan of AA, landing Tulo in that lineup with EE, Joey Bats, Martin, Donaldson, etc.. All the way down to Travis, Pillar.. no real easy outs. If he can pull off a deal for a good #2/#3 type starter (Mike Leake?), I'm liking the Jays down the stretch.
What about Papelbon to the Nats? He gets his '16 picked up and gets to be the closer? Wonder how long before Storen asks out of WSH. 3 times he's lost his gig (Clippard, Soriano and now Pap).. and all he does is put up numbers.

For what it's worth, I saw Rutledge play in Boston tonight. He probably gives about 1,000% more effort than Pablo Sandoval does on defense.
