We have decided to part ways with Jay, who has been the GM of the Phillies since he joined up right after our first season. Jay has been a valued member of our community for a long time. Part of what defined him as a GM is his unique approach to free agency, as he invested heavily in international free agents. That approach has set his team up with some key long term assets, most notably Mas Tanaka and Yu Darvish. We thank Jay for his time in charge of that team and are excited to see what the future holds for the franchise under new leadership.

If you know anyone who would be interested in taking over this team, have them message me and Brian with an application answering the following three questions: 1) what do you see as the team's strengths and weaknesses, 2) how would you go about addressing those needs short and long term (generally speaking - no specific targets, please) 3) what are your own strengths (and weaknesses) as a GM

The Phillies' Official Roster is updated for 2016, so applicants should consult that roster when answering these questions.

I would like to accept the position as Phillies GM. I would also like to thank Chris for introducing me to the league and to Ben and everyone else for having me. I am looking forward to my opportunity to turn the Phillies into a championship caliber team.

As for myself I was born and raised south of I-80 in Illinois (not to be confused with Chicago) Though I am a fan of all Chicago teams. Except the White Sox because, well because they're the White sox.

I look forward to getting to know all of you and working with you.
