[Ben (Rays GM)]

Jamie has decided to step down as GM of the Nationals. Jamie has been in charge of this team for just under two years, and he leaves behind a team in pretty good shape, thanks to some very solid work during the draft and free agency. Not only does the future look bright for this team, but the team is pretty close to competing if it can find a little bit more depth. It just needs an active owner to reach that point.

On a personal note, thanks to the league for allowing Jamie to participate. It's been fun sharing this league with my brother for the past couple years.

If you know anyone who would be interested in taking over this team, have them message me and Brian with an application answering the following three questions: 1) what do you see as the team's strengths and weaknesses, 2) how would you go about addressing those needs short and long term (generally speaking - no specific targets, please) 3) what are your own strengths (and weaknesses) as a GM.

This is my 6th active league like this, the longest of which I've been in for 6 seasons. I've been playing fantasy sports for at least 5 years before that. I'm 18 years old, currently live in New Jersey but I'll be starting college at Rice University in Houston in August. I'm a diehard Yankee fan and one day want to work in sports, preferably baseball and preferably in the front office of a team.

A Yankees fan! I could be mistaken, but as far as I know you're the only current Yankees fan here. Our original Yankees GM was one as well, but he's long gone.

On the other hand, I believe we have five Mets fans here (myself included, lol). But I'm one of those rare Mets fans who roots for the Yankees as long as they're not playing the Mets (or the Twins).

Very interesting. This is the only league I'm in without Yankees fans. I have one league where there's about 5 of us, but there's also 3 or 4 Mets fans so the banter is great!
