Hello everyone. Going forward, we're going to make a small change in how we process trades here. Currently, we have a 24 hour window for veto potential and to make sure everything is on the up and up. Starting with the processing on trades for the 2024 season, during this 24 hour window a commissioner will process any trade involving draft picks to ensure that a pick has not already been traded. The plan is to post in the trade thread that a trade involving picks has been confirmed, so both teams know that they are good to go. Benefits are we will have an up to date list so if you have questions we should be able to check and make sure.
We have been relaxed at times with allowing a team to make multiple trades within the 24 hour window involving players they acquired in deals that havent hit the time frame yet. That will have to stop officially as we need the time to process. Our hope is that by doing this, we do not have the issues we run into each year with having to fix draft pick issues because teams have traded picks multiple times. Keep this in mind when making deals during the draft for 2024 picks.
So to review going forward if you make a trade that involves draft picks the 24 window still exists, but a commissioner will have to process the trade to verify pick ownership. Feel free to reach out to any of us to ask any questions. Thanks.
