I would liek to redshirt
Nolan Arenado (2nd year)... I have moustakas to cover 3rd base this year Jake Marisnick. MY OF is Cargo, Rios and Martin, id rather not risk him coming up and gaining a year of service on my bench
I've got Jose Reyes and Dean Anna to cover SS. I'm more than set at DH with Pujols and my OF rotation of Holliday, Myers, Gordon, Werth, and Ruggiano.
2) Cody Asche (2nd year)
I've got Josh Donaldson and Jeff Keppinger to cover 3B. As already stated my DH situation is more than covered.
3) SP Daniel Hudson (3rd year)
Red-shirted last year but didn't pitch in majors. Had 2nd TJ surgery, if he comes back at the end of this season I don't want him gaining service. I have Strasburg, Price, Minor, Cahill, Chatwood, Gonzalez, Beckett, Jordan, Detwiler, Rusin, Lewis, and possibly minor leaguers Nelson, deGrom, Karns, Nuno, Turley, Johnson, and Alvarez to cover my SP needs.
4) P Chris Stratton (minors)
I doubt he's going to reach the majors this year as he's only in A+ ball but if he ends up being a fast mover I don't want him gaining a year of service. As already demonstrated, my SP situation is covered.
Reyes - approved Asche - cancelled by owner prior to approval, does not count as a lifted redshirt Hudson - approved Stratton - approved

Also requesting redshirts for OF Joey Terdoslavich and OF Jimmy Pardes. While they may not get the PT, I want to make sure and I have 5 OF on my roster for 3 OF spots.
Nolan Arenado (2nd year)... I have moustakas to cover 3rd base this year Jake Marisnick. MY OF is Cargo, Rios and Martin, id rather not risk him coming up and gaining a year of service on my bench
Arenado - denied (see below) Marisnick - approved
Redshirting Arenado and moving Moustakas to 3B would leave your DH spot empty. Either of these two players could be potential options at the DH spot. Seeing as you have Arenado now, Marisnick is surplus and therefore can be redshirted, but Arenado cannot as Marisnick is not currently active and therefore not available to fill in for Arenado.
You are welcome to appeal or to try to find other options for the required position(s) and re-submit.

Rays would like to redshirt:
Anthony Rizzo (3rd year): I have Freddie Freeman and Miguel Cabrera to play 1B and DH (Longoria at 3B so Cabrera's not needed there)
Bryce Harper (3rd year): I have Giancarlo Stanton, Desmond Jennings, and Christian Yelich as a starting outfield three, with Matt Joyce and Dustin Ackley backup options (and Cabrera at DH as previously mentioned).
Burch Smith (1st year): I suspect he'll get another call-up at some point this season, and don't think whatever contributions he makes are going to be worth losing the year of service. Current rotation: Greinke, Zimmermann, Estrada, Straily, Cingrani, Cashner, Erasmo (some of those guys are taking up bullpen spots but could be moved to SP spots with RPs like Jared Burton and Dale Thayer, to name a few, moving into the pen). Plus Sale and Paxton due back in the not too distant future.
Clayton Blackburn (1st year): why not? See Smith.
Rosell Herrera (1st year): I don't see him getting called up, but again, why not? Villar and Escobar are my current shortstop options.

Kyle Drabek (3rd year) I have Niese, Dickey, Morrow, McGowan, Gee, Kennedy and Locke as SPs
Justin Wilson (2nd year) I have K-Rod, Wagner, Albers, Belisle, Frasor, Jennings, Belisario all active and a couple others in the minors with MLB experience who likely could be called up.
Francisco Peguero (1st year) Could see some time with the Orioles as a bench player and I don't want to burn a year of service. I have Upton, Presley, and Almonte as my OFs as well as Robinson as backup, Nyjer Morgan if there is an injury in Cleveland and Oberbay as another option for DH.
Corey Knebel (1st year) Up and coming relief prospect that might get fast tracked and see MLB time, have plenty of RP depth to cover.
Nolan Arenado (2nd year)... I have moustakas to cover 3rd base this year Jake Marisnick. MY OF is Cargo, Rios and Martin, id rather not risk him coming up and gaining a year of service on my bench

I have Ian Stewart who has been getting a lot more AB recently and is taking over the 3b spot right now vs freese. And I've got Punto on my bench for AB as well. So is this enough to get arenado approved?

Arenado - tentatively approved. You have a number of holes in your major league lineup. Some of those holes (1B, 2B) can be (or shortly will be) able to be covered by Punto (who's 2B eligible) and Stewart (who's 2B eligible and should soon become 1B eligible). If not for the fact that you have Garrett Jones, who's also 1B eligible, I'd have to deny this request. However, since you have Jones as well, you should be able to put Jones at 1B, Punto at 2B, and Stewart at 3B (or some other similar combination). I hereby approve Arenado under the assumption that you'll call up and start the other players for next week's matchup. Please make sure to do so, or Arenado's redshirt will be cancelled. Be sure to post the necessary activations in "Yahoo Moves." I encourage you to activate Thole as well.
